EcoFlow in Germany: a power station, a balcony battery and a portable air conditioner are three different purchases

This is a research-based write-up. We read EcoFlow's German site (ecoflow.com/de), its deal listing and press coverage on 26 October 2026. We have not tested these products. Prices change often.

EcoFlow sells products that look alike and do very different jobs. A portable power station keeps your devices running when the mains fails or you are off-grid. A balcony battery stores solar power for the evening. A battery-powered air conditioner cools a room without a socket. If you buy the wrong one because the logo matches, the discount will not save you.

What the German shop lists#

On the day we read it, ecoflow.com/de listed four groups: the STREAM series (balcony solar, with models including STREAM Ultra and STREAM Ultra X), a home battery range, power stations (including DELTA 3 Classic, DELTA 3 Max and PowerRock 4000) and Smart Living. The WAVE 3 air conditioner was not on that page, though retailers sell it.

For shipping, returns and warranty, the page only linked to forms and conditions ("Widerrufsantrag", "Garantiebedingungen"). We did not read them, so read them before you pay. As a baseline, EU law gives you 14 days to withdraw from most online purchases.

Job one: backup and camping power (DELTA)#

A power station is a battery with sockets. Two numbers decide whether it works for you: watts, how much it can deliver at once, and watt-hours, how much energy it stores. Add up the devices you will run together for the watts, and multiply each device's power by the hours for the watt-hours. Add a 20 to 25% margin for conversion losses. Our power station sizing guide walks through a worked example.

A mains-powered fridge, a router and a laptop need little power but need it for hours. A kettle or a hair dryer needs a lot for minutes. Mixing the two up is the most common sizing mistake.

Job two: a battery for balcony solar (STREAM)#

A plug-in solar kit produces most when the sun is highest, which is when many households use the least. A battery stores the midday surplus and releases it in the evening. Retailers list STREAM Pro, Max and Ultra sets with about 1.92 kWh of storage, from roughly €850 to €1,220 depending on the number of panels and the mounting. Computerbase also reports that IKEA sells EcoFlow balcony sets through Svea Solar, which was cheaper than buying direct at the time. Prices move quickly, so check.

The honest question is whether the battery pays for itself. Use this sum: the extra cost of the battery, divided by the electricity you will actually shift (kWh a year) times your price per kWh. If the battery adds €600 and shifts 300 kWh a year at €0.35, that is €105 a year, or a little under six years. Change those numbers to yours. Our post on what balcony solar really saves runs the same maths for the panels.

Job three: cooling without a socket (WAVE 3)#

The WAVE 3 is a battery-powered portable air conditioner. Retailers quote 6,100 BTU of cooling and 6,800 BTU of heating, which is about 1.8 kW of cooling (1 BTU/h is roughly 0.293 W). As a rough rule, a small room of 15 to 20 m² needs about that much. It is marketed mainly for camping, campervans and boats, so treat battery run time as the thing to check. Cooling at 1.8 kW drains a battery much faster than any laptop. Computerbase tested it against the Midea PortaSplit, which is worth reading before you decide.

How to read the discounts#

EcoFlow's deal cards show a mix of percentage and threshold offers. The thresholds are easy to evaluate:

• €100 off orders over €1,000 is 10% at the threshold, and less above it.

• €200 off orders over €2,000 is also 10% at the threshold.

• 5% off the whole range is simplest on smaller orders.

Codes often cannot be combined, so check at the checkout. And "up to 64% off" describes the most heavily reduced model, measured against a reference price the shop sets itself. Our guide to checking a sale price is real covers how to test that.

The deals right now#

These are the EcoFlow deal cards at our last check (titles in German, because the store is German):

• Up to 64% off, plus €100 extra with a code

• 5% off the whole range (code) and the Oktoberfest sale, up to 64% off

• €100 off over €1,000 and €200 off over €2,000 (codes)

• Flash sale up to 35% off selected STREAM units, up to 27% off STREAM base sets, up to 25% off WAVE 3, and free shipping

• 10% off for your friends (a referral offer)

The shop's own page also offers 5% off and 500 EcoCredits (worth €25) for signing up. See every current offer on the EcoFlow coupons page.

Our take#

Pick the job first. For backup power, size by watts and watt-hours. For solar, work out your surplus and your payback. For cooling, check the run time. Then use the discounts, and read the return and warranty terms the page linked rather than showed.
