The Cartridge Centre review: compatible ink, a 12-month guarantee and a short return window
The Cartridge Centre sells printer cartridges with a 12-month guarantee and a 10 percent signup offer. The return rules are strict, so read them first. A research-based review.
This is a research-based review. We read The Cartridge Centre's site and return policy on 11 October 2026. We have not bought from the store or used its cartridges.
What it sells#
The Cartridge Centre sells ink and toner for home and office printers. Its homepage describes "premium compatibles", which are non-original cartridges, as a cheaper alternative to branded ones. Whether that saves money depends on yield and your printer; see printer ink cost per page for the sum and the cautions.
Offers on the day#
The homepage offered 10 percent off through a signup form ("Unlock 10% off"). The page did not show what the form asks for, the minimum spend or exclusions. There was no promo code to enter and no sale. It also claims "we guarantee to be the lowest price you'll find online", which is a promise we could not test.
Guarantee and returns#
Guarantee: a 12-month guarantee, with a free replacement or a full refund.
Returns: 14 days, for items "unused, sealed in the original packaging". You email your order number and reason first, include a note in the parcel and pay the return postage. The page recommends a tracked service.
Wrong cartridge: the policy says wrong-item orders must meet the same conditions, so the store asks you to check which cartridge fits your machine before buying.

Homepage buttons read 'Unlock 10% off' and lead to a signup form. The page does not show the conditions, minimum spend or exclusions. No code shown. Source: store homepage.
UK consumer rules generally give a 14-day right to cancel for online purchases, with exceptions for things such as sealed goods that have been opened, so the practical lesson is to match the cartridge code to your printer before you open anything. Our guide to online refund rights explains the basics.
The trade-offs#
A 12-month guarantee is a real comfort with compatible cartridges, since quality varies. The narrow part is returns, because a cartridge you open to test is no longer returnable as sealed. Delivery costs were "calculated at checkout", so compare the total, not the cartridge price.
Our take#
Reasonable if you check the cartridge number twice. We have not scored the store yet.
